Default Do You Need an I-134 for a B-2 Visa

    Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could help as all the websites and help packs I have looked at seem to have differing views. I am applying for a B2 visitor visa, to visit my brother in the states. Do I need an I-134 affadafit of support from him for this application, or is the letter of invitation and proof of funds to support myself sufficient?

    Many thanks...

An I-134 is recommended but is not required. You can attempt to document as necessary that you will be able to support yourself as necessary from your own assets, and that you can afford to travel back home (e.g., by providing a copy of your round-trip ticket).
