    Ah, thanks everyone. Looks like I'll just take the polygraph and be done with it; I was mainly only worried if the school district I work for could get information on it. Then they may have questions like 'why did you have to take a polygraph', etc.

    And as you say, BOR, even if I refuse, they'll probably just use a random excuse to terminate me anyway.

    If they fire you and you protest, they will either say, they did NOT ask you to take a PG, or they asked, you refused, end of story.

    BUT, gee, what a coincidence, a month later, you get some "unknown" customer file a complaint against you for bad service, and of course it will be made up.

    In my study of employment law over these many many years I have only seen TWO (2) employers admit liability in a wrongful termination lawsuit, and that is ONLY because they thought they were home free, but they outsmarted themselves in higher court's.

    I personally would NOT take it. If by chance you fail, don't be surprised if they not only fire you but also sue you for the money taken. Don't put anything past them.
