I just apply to New York college and i pay my all fees. Now they want me to send them a bank statement with $29 000, or they won't send me my F1 visa. The problem is that i dont have bank statement with so much money. Do you know some other ways, which i can prove them that i will pay my education.

How do you plan to pay? The university is asking easier questions than the consulate will be in order for you to obtain the F-1 visa.

My father was planing to send me money for every quarter. And I'll try to find a job there and then it will be easy for me to pay. I don't want my parents to pay my education so I'm trying not to engage them.

Individuals on F-1 student visas are NOT permitted to work off campus and are limited to the number of hours on campus. Many universities give their limited number of on campus jobs to citizens and LPRs.

It is expected that you have cash on hand for your educational expenses or have a sponsor, scholarship, or graduate teaching or research appointment.

You should expect to provide evidence of the funding for $29,000 EACH year if you are beginning as a freshman. You many have scholarship or work assignments available after your first year depending on the university.

Sorry, if you do not have that cash on hand, I can understand why you will not be issued an I-20 by the university.

Cool Re: Bank Statement for F1 Visa

Your parents can send their bank statement to prove they will be paying for your expenses. Once you get the I-20 and the visa, it is up to you how you want to deal with the whole tuition situation. Good luck!

OP's parents do not have the funds in the bank.

Beware of people who will put into your account temporarily to show funding. If the USCIS detects this, they may consider it fraud which is treated very harshly for future visa applications.

There are several options avaiable to you.

First, find a less expensive institution; your choice seems quite inexpensive so this will be difficult.

Second, complete your undergraduate study in your home country and go to the US for graduate study. Depending on the university and program, they may have work-study opportunities that are not available to undergraduates.

Third, complete your undergraduate studies and go to the US on a work (H1B or L1B) visa and take classes part time in the evening.

Fourth, join an "au pair" program which will allow you to work for a family as a child care worker and also take some classes during your off time.
