Default Prosecuting Sex Abuse After Reaching Adulthood

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Oregon

I know a girl who was 16 and she had sexual interaction(not sex) with a guy that was 22. Now she is 20, the even though she consented to it, and she wants to know if she can still prosicute or file a police report about what had happened between the girl and the guy? Because the consentual age in oregon 18 and she wasn't 18. What would it be to late for her to do so? Because I know there is a statue of limiation on these things but I don't know how long.

Doubtful the state would expend resources on an unwinnable case. What evidence will she present? She'll say he did he'll say he didn't the law requires proof beyond a reasonable doubt.

You can't know what the statue of limitations will be until the state files charges. most likely in this case it's 4 years. If you had compelling evidence that real damage was done you would have until your 24th birthday.
