My question involves child support in the State of: new york
I am currently and permently living outside the country and have no plans on returning to the usa in the future.I lost my job of 23 years last year and decided to move with my wife and childern outside the usa.before i left i filied an downward modification in new york for a son i have living there.I explained to the court i would not be able to pay the amount of support ive paid the last 11 years im a displaced worker i needed my support lowered.I was denied and the hearing examiner stating i wasnt even able to prove to the court i was dismissed.they did not allow my letter of termenation into file because it was not a copy of the final letter sent back to my employer with my sighned name.I was let go with about 3500 other workers at the same time in nyc i had articles from newspapers about the job loses but could not allow to show the court because they said it was hear say.I want to be able to do the right thing i will not be able to pay anymore soon at that rate.can i file another case from outside the usa.I could never send another dime they cant find me but i want to do the right thing I want to pay a % of my current income from abroad.
