Since it is clear that if over 18 and found guilty and convicted after 12-1-1999, in the stated of NC, there is no "once in a lifetime expungement" options. And due to increasing background checks, pardon would not be helpful.
Is there anything else available to assist in clearing your name, such as sealed records, change in convictions, maybe a statement to go along with your convictions, (currently have mistemeanors=3) :?
Seriously considering relocation to a another country or Canada, and marry a canadian to have a job and life. USA home land security is making it very difficult to work and live with a criminal record, my convictions are from my youth, worthless check, trespassing, property damage from the state of NC.
These are not volent crimes. Embarrassing is what I would discribe my convictions, ops: but the way there are written in background reports it seem very volent to the reader whom do not know the law. And the police and sheriff immediately suspect you from the begining, my creditbility is worthless now as a mature adult to law enforcement. And all these convictions happen in the 1980's. :x
Is there anything a NC mistemeanor criminal records person can do to move past this?? I have not even had a traffic ticket since.
