Default Dealership Forgery on New Car

My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Alabama.

I bought a new car last weekend. I received paperwork for the application of certificate of title.

I noticed that the dealership forged mine and my husbands name on the paperwork. The handwriting is the same in both signatures and it's obviously not our signatures as they don't match our other signatures in the slightest.

I'm wondering what we can do about this? I'm angered that the dealership opted to sign our names for us instead of asking us to drive over and sign the paperwork.

are you sure they forged your signature and were not simply utilizing you permission to sign on your behalf? Were there any notations, inititials, or statements along witht the signatures?

Bottom line, to me, is; does this actually cause you harm? Was something improper about the dealings that you are disputing?
