    Default Warrant in Debt

My question involves collection proceedings in the State of Virginia. I received a warrant in debt recently. Since receiving this, I've paid part of the balance due - I do not dispute that I owe it - but will not have it completely paid when this goes to court. I'm pretty sure judgement will be entered against me anyway since the balance will not be paid in full, but since I'm making payments, as long as I keep them current, should they ask for garnishment or ask me to appear to answer interrogatories? Most likely, I will not be attending at the court date.

If you don't go to court, you should expect that the plaintiff will be granted whatever relief they request from the court.
