My question involves criminal law for the state of: Pennsylvania
I previously posted a thread titled "Caught Shoplifting With A Friend"
Thank you to all who answered. I very much appreciate it.
Now onto another question:
When me and my friend were brought to the LP's office.. he said to me "I have seen you here a lot" and I said "Well I used to work here". When I told him it was years ago that I had worked there, he said "Well I have definitely seen you here often, have you done this before?" Now, I know now that I should have lied and said "No this is my first and only time" -- but I didn't -- I said "a couple times". I don't know why I did that, probably just thought it wasn't believable to say I hadn't when he's seen me in there on multiple occasions.
Do the LPs come to court if you plead not guilty? I was going to plead not guilty and hope for a plea bargain of a diversion program or a disorderly conduct conviction.. but if the LP DOES go to court against me, is it likely he will tell the judge that I had admitted to doing this before? Or does it not even matter, because this was the first time I was caught? I am so worried he might say something. If he does, what are the chances of me getting the plea bargain I am hoping for?
Thank you in advance to all who responds.
