Default Can I Change My Son's Last Name?

My question involves name change laws in the State of: Florida
I have a 14 year old son that when he was born me and his father where not together so when I signed him out of the hospital I signed him with my maiden last name. Now me and his father are legally married and his father would love for our son to have his last name and have his name appear on his birth certificate. Is there a way where we can do the name change ourselves or is it better to hire an attorney? I know for a fact last time I inquire and attorney wanted to charge us 2,000. Please help

Go here, scroll almost to the bottom, and get the forms/instructions under "Name change".
