My question involves an auto loan or repossession in the State of: NH

Ok so heres what happened: last winter my mom took a loan out under her name for me and i signed it saying i'd pay the payments and if i couldnt she would (i dont know if that makes me the cosigner or her) she then gave me the cash from the loan check and i went a bought a car.
two weeks later she kicked me out of her house with absolutey nothing and nowhere to go so i found an apartment after living in the car for a couple weeks to save money for it and now i have to pay rent and other bills.
I have and ended up selling the car to pay some other fines i had to stay out of jail.
so i obvioously couldn't afford the loan while living in the car working part time and now she wants to take me to court and say i owe her $5000 plus she wants extra money for late fees on other bills she couldnt pay cause she payed for my payments instead. do i have any chance? or will i just end up owing her?
