Default Can a Minor Enter into an Independent Contractor Agreement

My question involves independent contractors in the state of: Virginia

Can a minor enter into an independent contractor agreement? If so would they need a work permit as well since they are a minor?

Default Re: Can a Minor Enter into an Independent Contractor Agreement

In a classic example, a paperboy is an independent contractor.

Hiring a child as an independent contractor does not render state or federal labor laws irrelevant.
