Default Ticketed in a "Publix" Parking Lot

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Florida.

I received a careless driving ticket in a publix grocery store parking lot for running 3 stop signs in the parking lot. When I asked about jurisdiction on private property, I was told he couldnt write me for the stop signs but he could and did write me for careless driving. I didnt think you could be ticketed in a grocery store parking lot.

Most lots are under police jurisdiction and signs are posted. He couldn't write you for thestop sign since they probably don't meet the signage requirements. Check on taking online school.
