Default Do Minor Independent Contractors Require Working Papers?

My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: New York
If a minor wishes to be employed as an independent contractor does he/she require working papers?

Default Re: Do Minor Independent Contractors Require Working Papers?

The minor does not get to choose to work as an IC any more than an adult does. Either the job they are applying for qualifies to be an IC job or it does not. It's not a choice.

And yes, the child labor laws do not specify.
