My question involves criminal law for the state of: Ca
And if you have shoplifted and got caught doing refund fraud and the police were not involved will it show up on a live scan?

Live scan is a fingerprinting background check that is done by law enforcement or security proffesionals. As far as theft showing up on live scan, that is not a yes or no question. Everything shows up on live scan; the question is: is the offence reportable to the employer? According to the Federal Privacy Act of 1990, Live Scan can report only offences that would specifically disqualify you from the position applied for. For instance, I was convicted of petty theft and am now a high school teacher. When I did my live scan the paperwork came back as "qualified." that's all it said, nothing else. The law here (for once) works in your favour.
Thank you so much.
Is there anyway for me to know what is on my live scan?
You can google Live Scan locations & you should be able to find one near you & go & get your own Live Scan. I paid 32.00 or 36.00-can't remember exact $$-and got my own copy. I had an arrest but all charges were dropped and it showed the arrest but it did not show the disposition (outcome) and it is supposed to show you that. I also noticed at the top that I had an FBI # so the arrest must have been sent to them as well.
