My question involves an accident that occurred in the state of: Michigan
I received a ticket today for rear-ending someone. The charge is failing to stop in a clear distance or something to that effect. I can't afford points on my license and plan to take the ticket to court.
Is Rochester Hills court similar to other courts where they'll waive the points if your record is near clear (I got a ticket for going 5 over back in 2001 that is on my record but I no longer have the points), or are they going to throw the book at me?
The person I hit said they wouldn't even be contacting their insurance provider because there was no damage done to his car or mine.
I don't care if I have to pay the fine, I just don't want the points. Any help would be great.
