This board deals primarily with US law.

However, I will tell you that unless you are hiding incredible wealth, emancipation really isn't an option... most states, repeat states, that have emancipation law (and not all do) require that the applicant be 16.

    Honestly? Yes.

You can stop being all dramatic. Saying that you want to be emancipated is stupid.

You don't have a job or a place to live. What are you going to do for food or shelter up there in Nova Scotia?

Instead, sit your mother and father down and tell them that, in your family, someone has to be the adults and others have to be the children.

You would really like them to be the adults. Ask that they prove this by not dragging you into their fights and battles.

Tell them that you understand that they don't like each other. Tell them that you understand that fighting is how they now communication.

But tell them that you like and love them both. Tell them that their method of talking about someone you love deeply is coloring your view of the SPEAKER, not the subject.

And ask them to stop. Please.

That should do it... say it calmly and quietly at a time when mom/dad is not crazy or angry. Don't say it in a way to score points or to deflect their attention from something else.

Talk to them the way you beg them to talk to you... as an adult.
