My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: New York

PLEASE HELP -

On the affidavit of service that was supposedly delivered back in 1999, the description of the person who was (again supposedly) given the summons does not match anyone who lived there at the time.

There is also no signature on the affidavit of service so no one signed for it.
They also only list a last name (mine of course), but no first name (they put "jane" instead).
It is an undeniable fact that the person they described did not live there. HOW DO I PROVE THAT THEY ARE LYING?

They are describing a person with white hair (no one in that apartment had white hair either at the time or now for that matter).
The height of the person is totally wrong and does not match anyone in my family. And I'm not an expert when it comes to weight, but it doesn't seem to match either.

How can this type of fabrication be allowed?
