I'm not totally sure, but I think that the judge has to request a urinalysis as part of the PSI if you are to have one.

I do know that most people put onto probation are required to do some form of drug testing, but as you have not been sentenced yet, you don't have to test for anyone, yet.

What a probation officer does during a PSI is look at your prior criminal history and your "character" and the circumstances of the incident for which you were convicted. The PSI is then presented to the court at time of sentencing to serve as a guide for the sentencing judge. In my experience, the PSI is usually fraught with errors and sometimes outright fabrications. Examine it closely on sentencing day with your attorney and get a copy of it THAT DAY by using the copy machine, yourself!

What is the charge, and did the judge request that you do a urine screen?

So you are charged in Michigan?

It seems like over half of the threads here are about Michigan! I don't know if that says something about our Justice system or the residents knowledge of internet forums!

In MI, if the jodge didn't order it as part of your PSI, you don't have to take one. Why not just quit using for a while just to be sure? It's not that difficult!

"Hoe invasion"? LOL - I guess you forgot to pay her!

Seriously, home invasion is a serious crime, you should consider yourself lucky that you didn't hurt anyone and that no one hurt you.
