    Default American Needs Pardon to Travel to Canada

    My question involves criminal law for the state of: NY, My boyfriend wished to travel to canada and has a felony assault charge from 20 years ago, he was refused entry to Canada and was told to get a pardon. How do you go about this?

    He needs to contact the New York State Division of Parole.

    If an executive pardon is required, he can start here. Elsewise, he should start here.
