My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Florida
My ex-husband has fallen behind in his CS (about a month) and it only comes sporaticlly now. I want to go on state assistance, since I am unable to make ends meet, but am worried that a judge will not look favorably on that, especially since my ex and his wife make good money and do not need state assistance in any way.
Since my ex has asked for a modification of custody, will me going on welfare after the fact be taken into consideration. If I go on welfare I will be obligated to get a job, so I know that will at least be in my favor.
Also, I have collected letters of referance from several of my friends and family that say I am a good mom and my daughter should stay with me, will that help my case at all?
