Default Can A Scientific Discovery Be Copyrighted

    Simple breakdown:

Scientists have uncovered that a certain mental activity rushes large amounts of blood to the brain. This rush of blood can improve cognitive
    functions.

I want to use this information to make a web-site and reference that discovery (name of the doctor, pictures of MRI shots etc).

Am I going to get sued or these discoveries are part of the public domain?

    Thank you!

P.S: I reside in Canada and the discoveries were made in Asia

The discoveries themselves cannot be copyrighted.

Articles, photos and such are copyrighted, however. Except for brief quotations in the course of discussing the articles, you may not post them without permission from the copyright holder. This is usually the author, but in the case of some magazines, the copyright actually belongs to the magazine.
