My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: California
I applied for unemployment insurance after cut backs at our family business. I go to school full time online. I went to school full time while I worked full time. It was easy for me long on when ever I had chances.
I had my telephone appointment and missed it. My son got really sick and had to take him to the doctor. I have proof. I tried rescheduling but couldnt get through. The lady from EDD left her # when I called it back there was no answer no voice mail. I called customer service and got through. They told me I should still be able to talk to the lady who called. I was trasferred twice and was on hold for 40 min. When the lady answered she asked me for my name, ss#, and if I went to school. I said yes, then she said she would call me back in an hour. She never called back.
I called customer service 10 days later because I hadnt heard anything. They told me my claim was denied for going to school.
Should I appeal??? Do people ever win the appeals???
