If you were likely to be convicted at trial, you could have expected a much more severe sentence following conviction.

The details of work release will vary by jail or prison facility, but the programs I'm familiar with all involve the inmate wearing street clothes to work. You may have to make special arrangements with a friend or family member to assist with bringing you clothes or arranging for laundry services so that you have clean clothes.

Inquire with the facility where you will be incarcerated.

No matter what facility you will be attending the Philadelphia Prison System has their own clothing issue. Most likely you will be at the Riverside Correctional facility.

The issue isn't clothing to be worn while in prison; the issue is clothing that may be worn during periods of work release.

While on work release you will either be wearing issued clothing, or you will be wearing street clothes. It all depends on what kind of work release they have you attending. If it is a halfway house type of work release then you most likely will be allowed to wear street clothes. If it is a jail or prison type work release then you will be wearing issued clothing.

While in Prison you will be wearing issued clothing from the prison.
