My question involves a roommate in the State of: Michigan
I have a roommate who needs to move out. We have had problems with her since we first moved in together. We were going to kick her out when we signed the lease, but she "had nowhere to go". She has had to borrow money for rent several times, she owes my roommates money for ther things. She purposefully cut her hours at work down to two days, when she wasn't make any tips working full time, but it's still better than when she stopped going to work the first time. She has sex with her boyfriends when she (should know) that we can hear her. Complains when we have any friends over and gets mad at us for things for like switching the apartment around. I don't mean a "I wish you guys wouldn't have done that without me" more like a "you changed things at all." She is a big slob, her room always has weeks old cups and plates and God-forbid we ever go into her room, not even when she borrows our stuff and we need it back. I am not trying to rant, I just want to put all her violations up incase we can use any of it to get her out. Two weeks ago she alienated one of my roommates and she refuses to come home with her there and the other week she and her boyfriend came home and started to cuss and threaten at my other roommate because she let her brother have some of her alchol and he got drunk. By the way, they are cousins. I have tried to stay neutral, I have talked to her and I have tried to see her points, but waking up to hear her threatening my roommate was over the line. please, if anyone can give us legal advice that would be great, both to get her out and protect herself.
