Question Unfit Mother Leaves with Child

My question involves a child custody case from the State of Oklahoma & Mississippi.

    Hello-
My name says it all. I am a very concerned sister and aunt.
My brother married a very disturbed young girl who has a history of drug abuse (was raised in a family of users). They moved to Georgia where he was based in the military. Within 1 year, they were pregnant and had a beautiful little girl. Also during this year, her mother and several other family members died. She has since left my brother twice.
She has now moved to Mississippi when my niece. We don’t know where she is, only that she has left her support system (my family and what remains of her family) here.
To me (from reading her MySpace page) it is a very unstable and dangerous lifestyle for a little girl less than 1 year old. I know there is alcohol and believe there are drugs in the household she is staying out. Her mother also has a warrant out for her arrest in another state.
I want to help my brother get custody, but he is so sad that she left. I realize the courts favor the mother, but how do I go about finding a lawyer that works and knows the rights of the father and what can we do to help prove she is unfit or at least has to move back to the state where all the family support is?

This is his fight not yours. Next you "know" nothing your basing your assumptions on nothing concrete. If you wish file a report with CPS tell them your concern about the welfare of the child. They "might" pop in for vist and welfare check. If CPS finds anything of concern he could use that when talking to a judge

The only other thing that the OP can do to help. would be to hire an attorney for her brother if he cannot afford one.
