Default Car Title Issue with Partner at Dealership

My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Nevada

I met at the dealership with my potential Bus. partner. In exchange for using my credit he assured me that he would make the car payments for purchasing a certain vehicle. Upon arrival him and the salesman were looking at the car. Long story short, we get to the table [with the salesman]. I ask Brian to co-sign with his business name, he tells us that he has all the EIN etc info at home- he then tells me that his lawyer will draw out a contract stating that if payments are missed that title automatically transfers to him or his wife. I purchase the vehicle, and since then he has been giving me the third. So, Ipurchased the car, and besides a verbal promise and intent, and a witness I have nothing on paper. Do I have a case? Thank you, Justin

    A case for what?

You've given us backstory, but you haven't told us what happened.

since then he has been giving me the third.

Your post isn't real clear. Could you give us more details, please. What type of a case do you believe you might have? Thanks.

I wouldn't have bought a car if I wasn't assured that payments were to be made by my partner[or at least shared]. Whilst Brian [my business partner] assured me that payments would be applied to the vehicle, there is nothing on paper- There is however a witness[the car salesman] who was present when those assurances were discussed. If Brian doesn't make the payments [as promised], and I end up having to, can I go see an attorney and seek compensation in regards to Brian not fulfilling his payment obligations?

P.S: If you're not an attorney, do not respond. Thank you, Justin

If you want to hire a lawyer to advise you, pick up the phone book and start dialing numbers.
