Arrow Can They Issue the Warrant Without Informing Me First?

My question involves an arrest warrant from the State of: Michigan

Hi, I posted about my son being molested by a man. We are awaiting the warrant. I was told via email on Friday, everything would be done to make sure it was sworn on Monday (the warrant) it has not happened. Reasons stem from Prosecutor out of the office, Prosecutor in court, on and on. Yesterday I was informed he was doing his best to work on the report.
I saw a black police car (not the normal sheriff dept or state) with a gold insignia in town yesterday. In fact, the last two days, I've seen a lot of police cruising my quiet neighborhood. The ex-wife of the perp also said she has seen this vehicle near her home which is close to 5 miles away from me. Could they have executed the warrant without letting me know? I'am on them everyday with phone calls and emails. The crime victims advocate has stated she will let me know as soon as she knows that it is in place. I'm losing my mind here.
Also, is there a website I can access that would give me information on warrant status or if he has been picked up? Thank you. I haven't been able to find anything myself.

Default Re: Can They Issue the Warrant Without Informing Me First?

At the state level, Michigan's wanted persons websites focus on fugitives who have been wanted for a substantial amount of time or are wanted for homicide or career felons. Many individual counties however do keep current warrants on their websites - go to the website for your county sheriff's office (sheriff's are officers of the court who have the duty to serve warrants, even if the case was initiated by a city police department). Sheriff's also often oversee the county jail, and many of them now keep daily updated websites showing who is incarcerated and on what charge. If he gets arrested on a Friday or weekend, you'd probably find out faster by checking the jail's website than waiting for the advocate to come into the office on Monday and wade through their inbox.
