    Default Idaho Emancipation Law

    My name is Heather
I'm currently 17 years old and will be turning 18 on February 26, 2006.

As you know, I will be turning 18 very soon but would like to move out as soon as possible.

I was wondering if there was any way that i can legally move out before I am 18.

My parents wont let me move out yet because ,"they are legally responsible for me until I am 18."

How can i get over this wall and just move out now?

I realize i only have a few more months to go but I would like to get out now.

I've been working since i was 15 and am currently employed making a steady amount of money.

I am also enrolled in school and plan to graduate.
    Please help.

    Default Emancipation in Idaho

    Idaho has no emancipation statute.

You can check with your local police department to see what their policy is when a minor, within months of her 18th birthday, moves out of the family home. In many jurisdictions, they don't have much interest in pursuing a parental demand that the minor return home, as by the time the courts get through with the case the minor is likely to already be 18.
