Default How To Get Copies of Traffic Records

My question involves court procedures for the state of: Arizona

    Hello there,
I am wanting to start a business and I am doing research on it. One of my questions involves finding out...

    1. If it is possible for a municipal court to release traffic records (names and addresses) of people who were caught speeding by photo radar?

    2. If yes, how do I go about it?

    Thank you!

Traffic citations are public information and there is already at least one company that mails letters of solicitation. How you go about it depends on the rules of the municipality. Usually it is a FOIA request and they charge a fee.

Excellent, thanks! I was looking for some pointers like this. Do people usually go through an attorney for a FOIA request? Or can one reasonably do it oneself?

Some states title thier = of the federal Freedom of Information Act, the same. Usually they are known as open records/public records acts. The federal FOIA only applies to federal records, so you must use the state's =.

There is NO need for an attorney to make a request, although it is your choice to hire one to do so, yes.
