By law on the back of the notice it says in small print "this is not an attempt to collect a debt that was discharged in a bankruptcy, it is for information only"

Banks sell off these accounts for a penny on the dollar, the purchasers do collect some money from people who are unaware that they no longer need to pay due to them having a bankruptcy and or the SOL's have run out.

You would be surprised as to how many people send them money for something that has been discharged or the SOL has run out.

Good for you that you are up on this. Just throw the notices in the garbage and do not worry about them. You are smarter then they are
thank you everyone should read your answer!
