    Default Bonus Checks

My question involves employment and labor law for the state of: Colorado

As a store, we receive bonus checks per quarter based on overall store performance. We were told, right after the quarter had ended, that we met all "requirements" for the bonus checks. Three weeks later I have found out that the day before the quarter ended our corporate office decided to change our budget. For us to make bonuses, we have to be at 101% to budget. Just before the change we were at 104% to budget. After the change, we were at 99.98%, thus becoming ineligible for the bonus. I was told by my general manager that he was "working on it." Its been 3 weeks with no results. Is there anything that can be done?

No. Bonuses are optional. Companies can choose to give you one, they can choose to not give you one, they can choose to change their mind.

Agree, unless you have a bona fide employment contract or CBA guaranteeing bonuses.
