My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: CA
Hi,
I have a tricky situation.
I was at my last employer for a year. For nine months my manager tried to get me to quit by bullying me, undermining me, and threatening me. We would have regular meetings in which she would harrass me and attempt to let me go without actually saying the words "you're fired," trying to leave a question of whether I quit or was fired. Since I'm not a quitter, I would tell her I'd do better and go back to work.
After a year of the harrassment getting progressively worse, she suggested I put in my notice.
At this point she had held me back from a raise, was attempting to keep me from a promotion, and I had growing healh concerns.
My hearing is on 6/23- I know I can only tell them what happened and then have them decide- I'm still nervous.
Any Advice?
I have a written declaration from a former co-worker, a statement from a long term employer, my journal, and a witness.
Do they want to hear everything? Should I have a prepared statement or an outline of events?
I just want to be prepared
Thanks
