    Default If My Credit Is Bad, How Would I Use A Cosigner On A Lease

    My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: arizona
    i have bad credit so a credit check on me is not an option...my sister, has excellent credit and is willing to co sign a lease. i have been told that this is not legal in arizona. how would i present the situation to a potential landlord?

    Who told you it's not legal to have a co-signer for your lease?

    As long as you are 18, you can sign or co-sign for a lease in AZ.

    Present it to the landlord by noting that you had some financial difficulties, and thus poor credit, but you have a willing co-signer. Take your sister with you.
