My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: FL
I have been in Ch. 13 for about 18 months. I have been renting a house from a friend of the family for $525 a month. She is going to put the house up for sale so I have to move. To move into another house my rent will be about $900 a month because I won't be getting thfamily friend deal. I will also have to come up with first and last months rent. My 1st question is, when my rent goes up $400 a month, will my BK payment go down $400 a month? My 2nd question is, can I take the expenses for moving (like the $1800 for 1st and last months rent) out of my BK payments? My monthly payment is $1170.

Thank you for your time,

Your bankruptcy payment will not automatically go down $400.00 a mo. due to your rent going up $400.00 a mo. nor can you automatically take the moving expenses out of your bk payments.

If you can no longer meet your mo. bk payment, talk to your bk attorney. They will advice you of the best action to take such as a modification of your plan for example.
