Default CHP Is Trying To Change My Court Date

My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: California

So last month i got a ticket going 80mph in a 65 zone......Please refer to thread below if needed.

    http://www.expertlaw.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49316

ANYWAYS today i get a notice From the CHP in my mailbox today saying "Notice of Correction"

This "Notice of Correction" pretty much stated that there was an "Error" on my citation and that my court date should be changed from 7-7-08 to 8-28-08 (I am guessing the cop is going to be on vacation so needed to change the date)

...So i wanted to know if there is a way i can get out of this ticket because of this Date change that i did not agree to. On my citation it says...

"WITHOUT ADMITTING GUILT, I PROMISE TO APPEAR AT THE TIME AND PLACE INDICATED BELOW."....... i never agreed to be in court on 8-28-08

So cant i just go to court and say "Hey i never agreed to this court date, i am gonna be out of town"... plus I have the right to a speedy trial.

So what do you guys think i should do? :shifty

If you tell them you'll be out of town, they will simply reschedule it. Most jurisdictions will allow that once. I have no way of knowing, but I'll bet the change had nothing to do with the officer...just a guess.
