My question involves injury or loss that occurred in the state of: California
I am seeking advise on an injury that has occured over time, 6 months. The new upgraded ACT clutch kit was installed in January. By the end of January I had mild discomfort in my right leg. By March I consulted a doctor and recieved muscle relaxers and anti inflamatories. In April I saw a chiroprator.
When I first visted the Doctor's office my right leg was getting numb and felt like tingling from my foot to my hip.
I was told also to walk and stretch to allievate the pain.
Today, the pain continues and I have pain sitting in the wrong posision (or any for too long) or standing.
The pain can be quite severe if I move the wrong way too quickly.
Both the Doctor and Chiropractor thought that the clutch could be the problem due to putting undo strain on certain muscles.
The reason the clutch is the problem is because it's the heaviest clutch I've ever felt in any vehicle. Don't know how to explain that better.
I don't drive often nor have to because I work from home. I don't have a second vehicle to switch off to, nor the extra cash to buy another clutch kit, when technically there is nothing wrong with what's installed. I researched their product specs and website and found no such warning as to this type of injury from use of their product.
Do you think I can get the company (ACT) to cover the cost of medical and vehicle repairs.
I wouldn't have sought any legal advise had the pain subsided as the doctor's said. I have given it nearly six months, following their advise and stretching, walking and avoiding driving as much as possible. No luck, in fact the pain is more present than when I first visited.
Thank You
Nick
