Emancipation in Canada

I am 16 years old and currently living with my boyfriends parents. I have not lived with my parents since I was 13 turning 14 years old. I lived with my grandfather for a year then proceeded to live with friends and eventually to where I am now. My parents do not agree with where I live but as I am 16 they can not force me to move back with them. Recently they have been preventing me from many things because they believe that if they use their power as parents I will have no choice to move back with them. I live about 500 miles from them. How would I go about legally emancipating myself? Oh and the things they are preventing is school registration and school funding programs. I ended up having to have a friends parent act as my own in order to get into school.

Oh and i have been supporting my self finacially since I was 15 and have held a job since i first moved out.

Beyond your ability to establish an independent household at 16, I am not aware of any emancipation law in Canada. Try discussing your situation with a guidance counselor at school, to see what options are available to you.
