My question involves labor and employment law for the state of california: i ran a background check on my self it was an extensive one, not a basic. it came back showing a traffic violation but nothing more. I know i have a misdemeanor on my record that i was convicted in 1994. i paid a fine and court fees. i completed the probation. if i use the case number at the courthouse it comes up but only then. i dont know what i should do i been filling out applictions for job and so far i have said yes to the conviction but now i am wondering if this is going to hurt me. i ran in to this line on a application: Do not include traffic violations, sealed or expunged records.
