    Default Help With Emancipation

My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: New York

I'm turning 16 on June 11th [today is the first] I want to move out of my house because my parents are completely intolerable. Both are emotionally and mentally abusive. My dad can be physical with me over nothing and throw me into things. My mom is rarely physical with me but it has happened and she always threatens me with it. I'm being sent to live with my older sister in Jersey for the summer because my mom says she cannot handle the stress of having me, which is a common phrase. My two best friends are going to help me look for an apartment so I can move out. I leave in 26 days and am working two jobs during the summer. I will get a full time job in New York, when I return in September. I'm in AP Physics, AP US History and AP English for next year. I'm quite a capable person but I can't handle being in my own house. I hate coming home because of my parents and not to mention my dad is an alcoholic and a recovering drug addict who smokes weed everyday. I plan on moving out in September but once I move out can I be emancipated?

New York has no statute for emancipation and the reasons you list sound more like good reason to contact CPS not for emancipation

    CPS 1-800-4-A-CHILD
