    Default Civil Charges Mix Up

My question involves criminal law for the state of: michigan
one day i went to walmart to get milk and as i walked out of the store i saw some kids from school. i paid for my milk and they accompied me out and then all of a sudden i was dragged into a room and told to empty my pockets. i didnt have anything but 2 kids did and then walmart said that i was an accessory to shoplifting. i waited for a hour for police officer to arrive and i explained my situation to him. he searched my record which was clean and asked the walmart employees if they had me on video with the shoplifters. they said no so he decided not to charge me. I was told i wasnt being charged criminally or civily. One month latter i have recieved a civil demand for 200 dollars. Can they charge me after they said they werent and is it possible for there act could be interpeted as symbolic speach and an act of slander? plz help me. i dont know how the legal world works.

I'm confused, if you saw the kids when you walked out of the store, how did they walk you out of store?

You need to contact Walmart ask why you were sent Cvil Demand if it was decided you were not involved. Only Walmart can tell Civil Recovery service to remove request.

What happened was Walmart Lp somehow put your name in the case report. When that happened you were automatically sent a Civil Demand notice. If Wlamrt agreed you played no role in theft it should be simple to get Civil demand request revoked
