Thumbs down Hit A Parked Car In Ontario

My question involves criminal law for the pronvince of ontario: so recently i was driving my friends truck at school and when i tried to park i supposedly dented some girls car door, i did not notice this. later that evening i got visited by the police, who so kindly handed me 2 charges, 1 for not reporting an accident, and the other for dangerous driving. first of all if i didnt know about the accident how should i report it, and the dangerous driving was because i did not have enough room to pull out of the parking lot so i carefully pulled over the parking curb over a lawn, over a sidewalk and onto the road. i was just wanting to get some input on this. i have no record up untill this point, i am a 17 year old male and i am worried about this. please help me out
