My question involves child support in the State of: texas
when my ex decided to garnish my wages i was making $12 - i fell off for about a year and a half without paying child support, i was trying to become self employed. she got my tax return for the whole year, and about 4 months ago i started paying her with money orders, i am working full time for a company and just received a letter from travis county saying my wages are being garnished. my question is, is there a way to recalculate that amount for child support now if i am only making $10 an hour?
...needles to say i am paying back child support also...but my base child support is $330 a month (based off $12/hr) for one kid.
it boils down to me paying $480 a month for child support + back support + $25 for insurance for him, plus some other random $25 charge. (sorry i dont have the papers in front of me)
i also want to know if i have warrants, will i be thrown in jail when she takes me back to court? ...wouldnt that be nice...get raped for child support and then tossed in jail?
thank you all so much in advance!
(sorry if i ramble or rant...::stressed:![]()
