    Question 2003 Medical Bill

My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: South Carolina

I had some dental work done in 2003. In 2004, I paid the portion I was originally quoted. Today, for the first time, I received a call fom a collection agency about the part in dispute. Has the statute of limitations run? What can they do to me?

Per my reference the SOL on a medical/dental bill in SC is 3 years. However, they can still sue you to try & collect the debt. The SOL has elapsed would be your defense.
