My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: Nevada

Here's my situation.

In August 2007 I took on a consulting position with a consulting company. They had me at a client site. I was to work at that client site from August to March 31, 2008. Keep in mind that I am hourly; if the client cancels my work this agency does not guarantee they can find me any other projects, so I am out of work if they don't have anything.

In early February this gov't organization I was consulting for said the NV Legislature has done some budget cuts. We only have one week left of work for you. I contacted my agency and they said they would start looking for me. I found another job through a diff agency, so I told the client this. They came back to me and said well we can get you approved through the end of the month but i had already found this new position.

I immediately started the new position with a different agency working at a huge casino (as an agency employee). This position was temp-to-perm. I was there working for 2.5 months when the casino laid off 400 employees including my entire dept. Needless to say I was let go too.

I called unemployment and they are temporarily denying my unemployment benefits and I am scheduled for adjudication. They said because I was only at my job for 2.5 months they are going by my next to last employer and that I voluntarily quit my last position (although I would have definitely stayed at my old position had they had a budget available).

Please let me know what UI can and can't do. I desperately need it, and as far as I am concerned, I am unemployed by no fault of my own. I need advice for speaking with the adjudicator on Monday. Thank you.
