My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Florida
My husband recently got offered a job in Jacksonville this past week. We will have to break our apartment lease in Orlando because the company needs him right away in July. We know we must give at least a 30 days notice, but the lease fails to state anything about breaking our lease. Are we expected to pay the remanding months left in our lease before moving, or will they not even let us do that? We would like to know before talking to them, for fear that they will try and get as much money out of us as they can. Any help or suggestions is much appreciated.
