    Default Fare Evasion

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California

Hi, I did now know where to post this so I decided here was the place.

Recently, I got a ticket for trying to board a metro subway without having a ticket. An officer pulled me over and gave me a ticket. It said that I had to go to Court.

However, on the back of the paper that the officer gave me, it says that a notice may be sent to my address, in which a fine could be paid and I would not have to go to court.

My questions are, will this go on my permanent record, and will the even come?

    Thank you in advance.

If you blow off the ticket, the court will probably issue a bench warrant for your arrest.

You can contact the court to determine if an appearance is necessary or if you can just pay the fine.

If you share the exact citation for the offense charged (statute number, or municipality and ordinance number), somebody will probably help you find the statute and its penalties.
