    Default Deferred Adjudication

My question involves expungements or pardons for the state of: Texas
I got in trouble with a marijuana charge back in I think 1982. It was supposed to be a deffered adjudication. I applied for a part time job and they pulled that up. How do you get that off. I was told that if you finished probation without getting in trouble it dropped and it was off of your record.

Deferral means if you successfully complete probation you aren't convicted. If you want to do more, you can petition for expunction following deferral of a Class C misdemeanor and, for other offenses following deferral, can petition to have your record sealed. (There's a waiting period for sealing, but 26 years later you've met it.)
