My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of:
I received paid training for one week while I was receiving unemployment. I rec'd a phone interview notice because I declared that week as pd training and the employer decided not to hire me. During the UI interview, I was asked did I quit, I said no, I felt it was a mutual agreement, after asking the employer what I was going to be paid actually vs. what was advertised. There was a "lack of work" to reach the advertised weekly income. I spent more in gas traveling over 40 miles to get there. My employer said well, if you have these expectations, then your last check will be mailed to you. Because of what I metnioned above, I told the interviewer that I felt I was lied to.
I now have a second interview to "verify" what I said from the employer. I am afraid that if reached, the employer may say that I quit or may not be reached at all. If either is the case, how should I handle or what should I expect during the second interview without jeopardizing the continuation of my UI benefits/checks?
