    Default Garnishments Haven't Started

My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Texas

I received a notice over six weeks ago that garnishments were going to be started on my sons father. I have yet to receive anything. What are my options without hiring a lawyer? This man owes me about 4000 in back support and I have no seen any of it. I have also called the disbursement office to see if there is anything waiting for me and there isn't.

    Help.

Do you know who your ex's employer is? If you do, you can get a CERTIFIED copy of the garnishment order and send it to the employer as a back up to the notice that the state sent.

Unfortunately, garnishments do take awhile to begin, but your ex is still legally obligated to pay until the garnishments begin.

Ok, so since he has not complied with the existed order to be paying child support, can I have a notice sent to him? I am trying to keep track of every time that he is late. What constitutes "late" in the state of Texas? Is it 30 days without a payment?
